Originally from Douala, Cameroon, Hervé Kwimo moved to the United States after high school to pursue his passion for design. He earned a BFA in Graphic Design from Virginia Commonwealth University and an MFA in Photography from the School of Visual Arts. His multicultural background informs a distinctive approach—minimalist, intentional, and grounded in intuitive problem-solving.
Hervé’s creative philosophy centers on reimagining the everyday, bringing clarity, emotion, and unexpected perspective to familiar forms. His career began at O, The Oprah Magazine as a junior designer, launching a path that would include collaborations with Pentagram, Robb Report, Self Magazine, The Hollywood Reporter, and more.
Now based in New York City, where he’s lived for over two decades, Hervé currently serves as Design Director at Condé Nast, continuing to lead with simplicity, impact, and a forward-thinking design sensibility.
